Next stage of Olympic Dam plans to be revealed this week | Herald Sun, Russell Emmerson, 9 May , 2011 FURTHER plans involving the proposed $20 billion expansion of South Australia’s largest project, the next stage of the Olympic Dam development, are expected to be revealed this week.The South Australian Government says a supplementary impact statement involving the project could be issued for discussion on Thursday or Friday.The future of the project is in the hands of the Federal, SA and NT governments who are expected to issue a decision by late September.A spokesman for the SA minister in charge of the project, Kevin Foley, denied claims by the SA Greens that the statement would not be tabled for public discussion before the project was signed off by the State Government…..
“The Australian, SA and NT governments are now in the assessment phase,” he said, noting that a report would be presented to Cabinet once the three governments had completed their assessments.
