Too much success for household solar power in Western Australia

WA solar rebate scheme too popular to continue, SMH,  Courtney Trenwith, August 1, 2011, The WA government has axed one of the most successful household environmental programs – the solar panel rebate scheme – precisely because it was too popular.

No new applications will be accepted from today. More than 65,000 household solar panels have been installed since the scheme started in 2009…WA solar rebate scheme too popular to continue

Surely one of the consumer/peoplepower agencies like ‘Get-up’ could be following this up … Typical ‘theiving’ government attitude … We the people do everything we can to help ourselves live a slightly easier lifestyle, and they up the costs, reduce the money we might make out of trying to do something good for our environment and they also introduce a ‘take-away’ rebate … maybe it’s time we stood together and got rid of some of our excessive governments and/or their mean spiritedness …
    Funny you know, I always thought they were there to help us and to do what we wanted … Silly misguided me!!!
