Examining the claims of a nuclear physicist that Fukushima accident is really no problem!

nuke-spruikersSmPhysicist Claims No Nuclear Disaster at Fukushima, The Daily Sheeple Melissa Melton  November 2nd, 2013 – According to Dr. Kelvin Kemm, nuclear physicist and CEO of Nuclear Africa, Fukushima is not a nuclear disaster and all the fear surrounding potential negative impact on the biosphere and everything living in it boils down to little more than media-driven hype. – ……

Recent reports coming out of TEPCO that 400 tons of contaminated water are emptying into the Pacific Ocean daily from the damaged Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant (see The Japan Times) are apparently nothing to be concerned about. In fact, Kemm says TEPCO should just dump more radioactive water into the ocean: – ……Kemm goes on to explain that the tritium isn’t harmful: –

Kemm did not mention anything about the other materials being discharged into the atmosphere and the water. Presenting at a September International Atomic Energy Agency meeting, Michio Aoyama, senior researcher at the geochemical research department of the Meteorological Research Institute at the Japan Meteorological Agency, some 60 billion becquerels of cesium-137 and strontium-90 are being discharged daily into the Pacific from the ditch at the north end of the reactors. Strontium-90 alone has a half-life of nearly 30 years.

Kemm also did not address fish levels in the Pacific now reported at historic lows or studies of fish tainted with Fukushima radiation finding their way across the Pacific Ocean to North America and what effect those fish could have on the people who have unknowingly eaten (and are still eating) them. Yachtsman Ivan MacFadyen, who recently sailed from Melbourne to Osaka to San Francisco, came back and straight-up said the ocean is broken.

study released in the peer-reviewed International Journal of Health Services claims 14,000 Americans, mostly infants under the age of one, have already died due to Fukushima radiation. The International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War has estimated that over 136,000 cases of Fukushima-induced cancer and other serious illnesses will likely occur in the future (and this does not include precancerous tumors on children). Stories continue to come out that Fukushima children are being diagnosed with thyroid cancer at an alarming rate. Breaking protocol, a lawmaker recently handed a letter directly to the Japanese Emperor, warning him about the sick children and clean-up workers being diagnosed with cancer in and around Fukushima.

Apparently though, none of this is any cause for concern, as Dr. Kemm goes on to conclude:

The Fukushima incident will continue to attract media attention for some time to come, I imagine. It has become such a good story to roll with that it will not just go away. However, in sober reflection and retrospection one has to come to the conclusion that far from being a nuclear disaster the Fukushima incident was actually a wonderful illustration of the safety of nuclear power.

-Dr. Kemm’s assertions do not really stack up with what other experts are saying about Fukushima – ……….. http://www.thedailysheeple.com/physicist-on-fukushima-there-was-no-nuclear-disaster_112013#sthash.w7CqMhT4.dpuf

French nuclear industry and Fukushima Medical University push the view that radiation illnesses are ‘psychological’

nuke-paranoia

Chernobyl Children Fukushima Children   The french nuclear industry establishes Fukushima “aid” programs right now, with co-support by Fukushima Medical University. The aim is: All Fukushima diseases are psychological and “pure panic reaction” – people overreact. NGOs who talk of danger are irrelevant and irresponsible. These “aid” programs work closely together with local government and are even supported by some anti-nuclear activists and vip’s – national and abroad. Scientists and journalists also cooperate. Meanwhile radioactive atoms remain invisible in breast milk, and bone sarcomas grow fast.

With solar power, energy efficiency, battery storage – you can be energy independent

Aust-sunHow To Gain Energy Independence http://www.energymatters.com.au/energy-efficiency/energy-independence.php  4 Nov 13 Are you interested in having more control over the energy you use? Would you like to be less dependent upon traditional electricity generators, distributors or retailers? Energy Matters can help you. There are several steps along the path toward full energy independence.

  Go solar

The simplest and most effective way to gain some energy independence is toinstall solar PV. You will generate your own power and export the excess to the grid; for which you will receive a credit. Apart from simple maintenance every three years, there is nothing to check or worry about – simply enjoy your reduced power bills.

The other great thing about installing solar panels is you don’t necessarily need to pay anything up front. Energy Matters offers a zero deposit payment plan and repayments for a large system can be less than a cup of coffee a day!

In October 2013, Germany’s grid copes with 59% renewable energy!

Germany Reaches 59% Renewable Energy Peak, Power Grid Doesn’t Blow Up http://www.the9billion.com/2013/10/30/germany-59-percent-renewable-energy-peak/ by JOHN JOHNSTON on 10/30/2013 Earlier this month on a very sunny and windy day, Germany managed to hit a peak of 59.1% renewable power generation, and what’s more, the heavily industrialized county’s power grid did not explode, Greentechmedia has pointed out. t was around midday on October 3, which just happened to be Germany’s annual Reunification Day holiday, when the sun was at its fullest and the significant peak was reached. Over the entire day, 36.4% of total electricity generation was achieved with solar and wind power; solar panels contributed 11.2% on their own. At its peak, solar accounted for 20.5 gigawatts.

Although the electrical grid withstood the large amount of renewable energy flowing to it, you’ll be pleased to know that electricity prices also dived. A drop in demand from big, conventional power plants led the electricity price index at 2:00pm to 2.75 cents per kilowatt hour. The index covers Germany, Austria, France, and Switzerland.

Germany-1013-renew

So there you have it. A country and large and industrialized as Germany can and did operate successfully, albeit on a national holiday, using a large percentage of renewable energy. And this is only the beginning.

South Australia Power Networks punish home energy storage

Home Energy Storage Penalised In South Australia http://www.energymatters.com.au/index.php?main_page=news_article&article_id=4004  3 Nov 13, SA Power Networks seems to have taken a dim view of mains-connected solar households incorporating battery storage systems. While countries such as Germany are actively encouraging the uptake of home energy storage, it appears South Australia is actively discouraging it.

In an industry news bulletin from earlier this month; SA Power Networks have declared that customers installing energy storage will lose their feed in tariff incentive. According to the document: Continue reading

Ways to completely remove Murdoch spin from your computer

a-cat-CANActually, I wouldn’t do this. I like to know what lies and hypocrisies are being pushed currently

How to block Murdoch   Independent Australia, Torin Peel 3 November 2013  Sick of News Corp spin? Technology whiz Torin Peel explains how to erase Rupert Murdoch’s propaganda from your computer screens completely.  IF YOU’RE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE who simply won’t stand for Rupert Murdoch’s crap anymore, now might be the time to completely erase him from your computer screens for good. There are many ways to do this, and they’re remarkably simple.

If you’re ready to block News Corpse, the first way we can do this is using a plugin for Google Chrome. If you don’t use Chrome, I recommend you download it. It’s a lot faster and more modern than Internet Explorer. It’s also a lot easier to use and works better with most web pages, including websites like Twitter and Facebook.

The Google Chrome plugin is called Murdoch Block, and can be added to Chrome with relative ease through the Chrome extensions library…… http://www.independentaustralia.net/business/business-display/how-to-block-murdoch,5861

USA comes up with a cheaper renewable energy storage system

antnuke-relevantThe Future Of Renewable Energy Can Now Be Found Inside A Shipping Container Sitting Off The I-95 Corridor BUSINESS INSIDER, ROB WILE NOV 2 2013,   If you want to see the future of renewable energy in the U.S., you should check out the large container sitting next to a nondescript office building off the I-95 corridor in Maryland.

Inside of it is a system that helps solve one of the key problems in the renewable industry: how to store power for longer periods of time in an economical way……. The parts to focus on are the inverter, the batteries, and the transformer.

The inverter is used to convert the electricity generated by Konterra’s new rooftop solar panels, which come with the system, into a usable current to power either the building or the local grid. The battery, which is actually just an off-the-shelf lithium ion package, can be tapped by the local grid to temporarily charge or discharge excess power in the surrounding area.

Finally, the transformer can remove the Konterra building from the grid in case of a regional power outage, providing up to four hours-worth of backup supply. Current renewable storage set ups are pretty expensive. This system helps make it more economical………..http://www.businessinsider.com.au/konterra-solar-2013-11
