Thanks for linking/re-posting. I do have Australia in my mind, thinking of California. Much of the United States seems to have an eco-system as fragile as Australia’s. In the United States, the green forested parts are at risk, too. If they cut down all of the trees, the combo of heat and treelessness risks turning the entire country into a desert.
