Australian government completely inept in selecting Kimba nuclear waste dump
The method of selecting the Kimba location of Napandee and its inherent unsuitability cannot be altered by anything that Minister Pitt says or does, including convening roundtable conferences of experts in nuclear medicine.
The choice of the location is wrong from the start, and has nothing whatever to do with nuclear medicine.
In any case those medical experts would have little or no knowledge of nuclear waste engineering or management. For Pitt to claim otherwise is false, and only exposes the disingenuous nature of attempting to gain acceptance of the government’s proposals.
The whole selection process of Napandee for an above the ground nuclear waste facility has been a most badly arranged and pursued exercise which regrettably showed up the complete lack of expertise and knowledge on the part of the government and its entities.
