What has happened to Australian Nuclear Veterans website?

a-cat-CANAustralian Nuclear Veterans Association’s website until last week was here:
users.bigpond.net.au/anva/

This Web Site is maintained by Australian Nuclear Veterans who were involved in nuclear testing.

A few weeks back, the Australians veterans of the atomic tests launched a class action against the Australian Federal Government on the basis that at the time of exposing Australian troops to nuclear blasts the Government knew that the exposed troops were placed in danger from internalisation of fission products.

Why has this website disappeared?

If you are interested in an in-depth study of   atomic bomb testing in Australia, go to Paul Langley’s Nuclear History Blog

  1. Please find what was salvaged of the Australian Nuclear Veterans association website at http://www.sandersonsite.com/anva/
Sandersonsite are happy to give the website a permanent home, free of charge.

Please note the site is still slowly being rebuilt as much of the data was lost thanks to the extremely unhelpfull staff at Telstra Bigpond who refused to reset the password so we could make a copy of it before they took it down.

  2. My father was the pilot of a RAAF Dakota which failed to land at Mascot in October 1952 after supposedly conducting cloud seeding experiments over the ocean. At the time, the operation was highly secretive, and there was talk, after the accident, that the ‘cloud seeding’ was just a ruse. is there anyone who could help me to investigate whether there is a possibility that the aircraft was actually involved in some nuclear experimentation or measurement?
Several nuclear physicists were also killed in the same accident.
