New ways for renewable energy for power grid

Renewable energy plans for power grid  ABC Newcastle 14 Nov 09 Scientists at a renewable energy integration facility in Newcastle are working on new techniques aimed at integrating renewable energy into the state’s power grid.
Researchers at the CSIRO Energy Centre are looking at new grid design and operation techniques.

Project leader Dr David Cornforth says it is part of a plan to transform electricity networks.”We can do experiments at a smaller scale without interrupting the grid supply to the rest of this site,” he said.”So what we’ve done is we’ve built a facility here which allows us to decouple, disconnect from the rest of the site and do experiments without disturbing the other users of the site.”
