South Australian Labor rejects nuclear power

  • A day after debate raged in Federal Parliament over the merits of nuclear power, independent state MP Bob Such called for state lawmakers to “recognise that nuclear power is likely to be a base-load energy source in the future”……………
  • Labor MP Steph Key said there was no convincing evidence to show nuclear power was economically viable in SA.

    “Many studies have shown nuclear power to be among the more expensive greenhouse reduction measures,” she said.
