Adani must prove financial viability for Carmichael mine: Minister, Brisbane Times, 9 Oct 16 Tony Moore .Indian coal mine company Adani still has to demonstrate to Queensland Treasury it has the financial backing it needs to operate its $21.7 billion proposed Carmichael coal mine, State Development Minister Dr Anthony Lynham told Fairfax Media on Sunday.
The Carmichael Mine is Australia’s largest mining project and proposes shipping enough coal to India to generate electricity for 100 million people through the Abbot Point Coal Terminal……”We are not going to allow dredging at Abbot Point until we know that they have full financial closure on this project.”
