Western Australia makes modest start on promoting renewable energy

The Western Australian Government has put $10 million in funding up for grabs in a bid to further encourage the development of sustainable, low-emission technologies.

The money is part of the state’s Low Emissions Energy Development (LEED) fund which aims to reduce Western Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions.

The funding, however, comes with a catch: Applicants must match every $1 invested by the State Government with $3 from other sources.
